Our kids competed in the Bible Bee as well. It was very challenging but worth the effort. I am very proud of them! It is wonderful that so many kids across the nation studied hard and stuck to it. God Bless!

Hi Katie! We "met" briefly when you came to collect me so your dad could get more pictures. =) Haha, when I first saw this post I was like, hey! those are my pictures, how did they get them? Oh....yeah. ;)

I had NO idea you had all that trouble with the keypads! That had to have been so frustrating!! The first I heard was Sat. morning, and then your mom came up to tell the guys that the problem was fixed. =P

It was definitely an amazing day though. I wish I could hop on the RV with you and go to the rest of 'em! I heard that Chicago was pretty special. =)

Stay safe on your travels!

On August 7th, 1909, Alice Ramsey became the first female to complete what feat?

Swim the English Channel
Go over Niagara Falls in a barrel
Fly solo across the Atlantic
Drive across the United States

Alice Ramsey was the first female to drive across the United States. She began her journey on June 9th, 1909 and clocked 3,800 miles in 59 days by the time her trip was complete.

The joys of travel-now how many miles per day and how fast??

AND PUT DOWN THOSE GUNS.....LOL.......MOM

I’m Naotake Shiode, from C.A.L., company making TV program in Japan.
I’m writing to you, to ask permission and terms and condition of contract to use your pictures for a (regular) program called “The science club of performers“ on TV Asahi. The program is about introducing the most advanced science technology and your picture will be used for example. It would be on the air July 4th (Friday) from 23:15 by 24:10 local time.
I appreciate your understanding and cooperation, and looking forward to hearing positive from you. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Best Regards

Hi all Love reading your bog. Don’t read it daily, but when I do sit down I read them all to catch up. Love your adventures and hearing about them. I agree completely with what you said, "While I can appreciate the desire to share the Truth, I wonder about the technique." It is such the truth. You all have a much more subtle way about yourselves. I believe those who know Jesus and who have stayed can handle hearing things in a more direct way. But those people who have never had a relationship with Christ need to get to know Christians first for who they are, build a relationship with them, share things about themselves while building trust in their relationship. It may take a lot longer this way but i feel it has led to build a foundation with the people. You don't have to tell someone that you are praying for them all the time you just did it. Pray that the right people are placed in their lives and when the time comes all the pieces start to unfold. This is what you have done with Mark, I know. He loves and respects all of you, especially John. It may have taken a long time, but I want you to know that i think Mark is becoming more open minded and thinking about things more. I know it has a lot to do with his father in the hospital, but I will take what ever. I love Mark so much. Even though Mark wonders about Christ and not sure what to think or believe he is a wonderful man. He leads his life to be a wonderful loving, caring husband and father. He would do anything for anyone. He is so caring, giving, and forgiving. He has a heart of gold. I am so thankful to God that I have him in my life. Please keep his parents and us in your prayers and keep up your subtle ways to share the word of God!
XOXOXO

Still reading every day - I'm addicted!!! The closest I can imagine comparing the mountain driving to is when I went up Pike's Peak in 1991. I wasn't even driving, but I still remember how scary those non-guardrailed cliffs were and all the Hot Brakes Fail signs. But it was also incredibly beautiful... stay safe.

Dear Friends,
I have so many friends here in Sun City enjoying your blog. Mrs. Laybold, Mrs. Bredehoft, and Mrs. Prevatt are just a few.
It is very cold in Florida too. I guess Hawaii is still the place to enjoy the best temps ever.
Do PLEASE do something with all your travels! I just think a book or two should be the ultimate for so many people to learn and enjoy too. You all write so super, it is a pleasure that we all look forward to reading each day. Sooo then, make it possbile for many more to enjoy it all too. Love you, Ruth Ann
